5K Run/Walk Raising Funds & Awareness for the Deaf Community
All profits will be donated to the National Association of the Deaf and the Del Oro ASL Club. The NAD advocates for the rights of Deaf people in the United States. The Del Oro ASL Club and Honors Society support this mission.
The ASL Club is designed to bring awareness to the importance of using American
Sign Language when communicating with Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals. Members serve as steadfast advocates for ASL and the Deaf community.
The National Association of the Deaf is an organization for the promotion of the rights of deaf people in the United States. NAD was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1880 as a non-profit organization run by Deaf people to advocate for deaf rights.

The Sierra College Nature Trail was designed and constructed by members of the Sierra College Science Club and their faculty advisors in the 1960s.
The Sierra College Natural History Museum serves as chief steward of the Nature Area. A shaded path winding through the foothill oak woodland and riparian forests has several miles of trails, including those across Secret Ravine Creek. The Secret Ravine Nature Trail is about 3/4 mile long, but there is a branch that includes a gentler loop upslope to accommodate the possibility of off-road-style jogger strollers.
